-I interviewed for a new job.
-My parents came to stay in with us anticipation of my BIL and SIL's baby.
-Baby nephew was born!
-I accepted a new job.
-I put in 2 weeks notice at my current job.
-I had my last major event at my current job which required a ton of extras hours last week, including a 3:30am wake-up on Saturday morning.
Quite a lot for one week if you ask me! Adam and I are finally getting back into our normal routine and I promise I will be posting more recipes in the coming days!
I'm just so excited to finally be on a normal work schedule - no late nights, early mornings and weekend hours. I felt like the weight of the world had been lifted off of my shoulders when my event ended on Saturday. Of course I'll miss everyone, but it came to a point where I was working so many hours that I was becoming seriously anxious all. the. time. What little time I did have outside of work was spent worrying and stressed.
I'm someone who has a lot of trouble letting go - I like to have control over every little detail and I feel uneasy when I lose that control. This was a difficult decision for me because as unhappy as I felt, I was comfortable. I knew what to expect on a daily basis and how to handle any situation that was thrown my way. I also tend to put others feelings ahead of my own. But what I've come to realize is that my own physical and mental health and well being needs to come first. I need to worry about myself and not what everyone else is going to think or feel.
I'm happier now than I've been in months, and I can't wait to have a lot more time to spend doing the things that I love and sharing my passions with you!
